Are SC's dragging their feet?

Thoughts? Also, anybody care to brag about the number of interviews they've already got scheduled?

I don't think it's much different from last year. The next five days will be very active.

I'll brag: zero interviews! But I don't need any - last year I landed a job.

If anything, they're a bit faster. Last year I had one by this time (out of 6 total). This year I have 4 (three calls yesterday afternoon).

I've got one. But I have no frame of reference.

Hey 7:16, are those interviews with Columbia, Central Mich, and Saint Vincent?

Our Sc - most of the dept, really -is a bit ahead this year. This, despite being nearly overwhelmed with very good applications. (Don't forget, it's the end of the semester for us, too, with all that entails.)

To provide a modicum of good news: we have also been approved to do a VAP for next year which we will be posting asap. It is not the TT we expected, as that line is frozen, but it is something.

Hang in there, folks.
